Kevin Kirby
Pastor Kevin has worked an incredible amount over the past few years to enable the church plant at Sovereign Grace Community Church to succed. Previously he served a non-denominational reformational church called Petaluma Community Church from 1984 until 2010. He has been in active ministry for over 29 years. He holds a M.Div degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and obtained his undergraduate degree from California Baptist College in Riverside. Pastor Kevin and his wife Linda have been married for over 30 years and have four children: Kristopher, Scott, Matthew and Kim. Pastor Kevin began his ministerial career by serving for 2 1/2 years at Schellville Baptist Church in Sonoma.
Pastor Kevin is also ACBC certified and is the Director of our Biblical Counseling Center of Sonoma County from 1999 until now. From 1986-1999 he was a chaplain for Hospice of Petaluma, but he had a God-given desire to open a counseling center where biblical principles and biblical rebuke could be applied to counseling needs.
